Product Overview

Social Awareness is about your ability to be accurately aware of other people’s feelings, needs, concerns and perspectives.  This involves sensitivity, thoughtfulness and taking into account the feelings of others. The SOCIAL AWARENESS WORKSHOP is an empowering workshop that will teach attendees about the relevance of social awareness  to be effective and successful at work and in life. 

 

They will learn about various aspects of social awareness, be able to identify toxic mindsets that complicate how they look at others and apply a skill to detoxify toxic mindsets. They will learn how to better tune in to others (show empathy) and learn how to read and understand others better.

Module 1: UNDERSTANDING SOCIAL AWARENESS 

 

  • Defining diversity

  • The high cost of unvalued diversity

  • Valuing diversity within 

  • My unique brain preferences

  • A brain-based perspective on social awareness

  • Attitude, prejudice & discrimination

  • Social identity bias

  • Similarity bias 

 

Module 2: PRACTISING SOCIAL AWARENESS 

 

  • Toxicity

  • 5 Detoxifying mindsets

  • Learning how to read others

  • Empathy:

  *  Developing empathy

  *  Limitations to empathy

  *  Exercises to develop empathy 

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

 

On completion of the programme, participants will be able to:

 

  • Illustrate that cultural differences and early messages can give rise to stereotypes and discrimination that cause hostility, prejudice and confusion in the workplace

  • Identify and manage different brain dominance preferences and how this affects our behavioural styles

  • Create an environment that is conducive for interpersonal synergy in order to form good relationships

  • Design an action plan for the workplace that fosters group identity while achieving results

  • Enhanced sensitivity and thoughtfulness towards others
