Dr. André Vermeulen

Dr. André Vermeulen is an educator and University of Pretoria graduate. André has obtained his Masters Degree and Ph.D from Therapon University in the Discipline of Interdisciplinary Studies. He is part of the Neuroscience Group and part-time lecturer in neuroscience at the University of Pretoria. 

 

He has also done courses and learned from world-class scholars such as Dr Carla Hannaford, Dr Ian Weinberg, Ned Herrmann, Daniël Goleman, Ruben Baron, Ken Blanchard, Tom Peters, Edward de Bono, John Maxwell, Rudi Guillianni, Daniel Pink, Sir Ken Robinson, Dr David Rock, Prof. John Kotter and Jim Collins. 

 

Dr. Vermeulen has been an executive coach to Kings and Queens of Africa, mental coach to beauty pageants like Miss Modern Women and Miss South Africa and sports people.

 

Andrè is the CEO and owner of Neuro-Link, a boutique firm, that utilizes brain-based learning and development to increase performance and maintain wellness. He has built and managed Neuro-Link successfully for more than 23 years. Neuro-Link is a global business system with licenced business partners across the world, empowering thousands to become more of who they can be. 

 

He specializes in the neuroscience of learning and is a workplace learning specialist who empowers people and organizations with practical skills and assessments that he has personally developed.

He has published more than 30 leading articles in magazines and newspapers in Germany, USA, South Africa, and Costa Rica, such as Oprah, Management Today, Productivity, HR Future, Rugby News and People Dynamics, on the subject of brain-based learning and development. He is considered one of the most recognized authorities on the learning and developmental implications of the brain in the world. 

 

André has conducted many pilot studies with various companies and organizations across the world, of which mention was made in international publications. 

 

He has gained stature and credibility as an international motivational trainer and speaker in the field of brain-based learning and development. André has presented papers at more than 30 international conferences. For more than sixteen years, he has presented talks and workshops on popular platforms like TEDX and at the International ASTD Conference and Exposition, the International Alliance for Learning and Emotional Intelligence conferences in numerous countries worldwide, enhancing South Africa’s image as a role player in the field of neuroscience in the international market place. Evaluations at ASTD in past years place him in the top 10% of world class presenters.

The purpose of this book is to be a quick user guide to simple activities that anyone can do to cope with the demands of the 21st century. As a thought leader in the field of the neuroscience of learning Andrè hosts his own television programme called “Breinkrag” (Mind Power), which is a neuro-theology programme, making the links between theology and neuroscience. He is a regular guest on many international radio and television talk shows. He has also been a special guest on the Ashford Talk Radio Show, an international radio show who recognises the achievements and efforts of business people in the market place. 

 

Furthermore he has been included and recognized as an Honoured Member in Stanford Who’s Who “Black Book” as a result of his outstanding professional career.
