Team functioning is the ability to create group synergy in pursuing collective goals.  This implies building genuine relationships, establish strong social bonds with others and to express caring, concern and conflict in constructive ways.  Once you have an accurate understanding of yourself, you can manage and control yourself well and can be empathic about another person’s viewpoint, you are ready to build social bonds, function effectively in a team, collaborate with others and resolve conflicts. This intervention will help team members determine why teams work and don’t work. It will help team members establish team values, develop a high trust culture and also empower them with skills to strengthen social bonds with others and create social cohesion.

 

The Brain-Based Perspective on Developing Teams intervention starts by doing a brain profile assessment of each team member in order for every team member to first understand their unique neurological design and understand what contribution they can make in the team after which they get to know each other's profiles and then learn to get to understand others better and start establishing stronger social bonds.
